Arriving via the route nationale in the village of Etretat is always a bit like coming home, but this day it's even with more pleasure that I'm driving down the road. In full sunshine the sea is sparkling and vibrating and it looks as if the water is searching for a way inland.
I had some difficulties earlier on with the carburettor, but managed to clean it at the road side.
Although temperature is quite warm, the open fire feels good when entering the guest house and a good malt is always appreciated to wind down.
Dinner looks perfect with fresh scallops followed by Normandy tripes;
